Patrick McElhiney has worked in the IT industry since 1999, when he formed MCE123 while he was a high school student located an hour's drive from Silicon Valley. He started out repairing computers in his high school computer repair class. Patrick started out in his Cisco Certified Network Associate training program in his senior year in high school. He completed Semester 2 of the CCNA program during the Summer after he graduated from high school. He later obtained his CompTIA A+ Certification after taking the A+ Certification class at Merced College in 2001. He also completed CCNA Semesters 3 & 4 in his first year at Merced College. He then took four Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) training courses, also at Merced College from 2002 to 2003.
Patrick started his own IT company in 2001, as a branch-out from his marketing firm, MCE123, which was founded in 1999. He repaired computers, setup and configured computer networks and business printers, and specialized in fixing software issues at high levels of complexity, such as transferring old programs from old computers to new computers through registry and file system transfers. This business was very lucrative, and it helped him expand his marketing firm. Upon completion of his CCNP training, Patrick changed majors in college to Business Administration, and would later secure an A.S. in Business Management from McIntosh College in Dover, NH. He later achieved a B.S. in Marketing Management from Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH. He used his knowledge of the IT industry the entire time, forming a more complex version of MCE123 which now specialized in website development projects using PHP, Perl, Python, and many other server-side languages. He became accustomed to the Linux operating system, and started his own managed webhosting company, managing servers out of his home office, in addition to hosting virtual private servers and dedicated servers in the cloud.
Patrick McElhiney graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Manchester's M.S. Information Technology degree program, and he is a lifelong member of the Golden Key International Honors Society for being in the top 15% of his graduating class. He had a perfect 4.0 GPA as of July, 2018. Patrick will be continuing his studies in a PhD Computer Science degree program at the University of New Hampshire, Durham starting in August of 2018 majoring in Artificial Intelligence. McElhiney brings an unprecedented amount of skills and experiences to the table, having over 2 years of experience programming with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and he codes in over 12 computer languages currently. We should also mention that Patrick is certified through Microsoft Corporation, and his company has been a member of the Microsoft Partner Program since 2007 for offering IT services to small businesses. He has earned several certificates and awards from Microsoft.
