Patrick Russell McElhiney has an IQ of 152, and his personal interests have had limited priority throughout his life due to difficulties finding the right woman that will stay with him, or even knowing what to do to start a personal relationship. He is very paranoid, and his intelligence usually overpowers his emotions to look beyond the beauty and attractiveness of a woman. One parameter of his mind would be the equivalent of an enormous number of dimensions of the same reality, all occurring in different ways, all at the same time on both a micro and macro level of detail. This is why he has difficulty with making the first move in establishing personal relationships, because his mind has precedence, and he doesn`t like his privacy violated by the public. He also views financial wealth as a precedence to a personal life, because he needs to have the capability to provide support to his significant other before making decisions of establishing a personal relationship. At this point, he has all of the financing he needs for his professional life and his company - he has everything that he wants and needs, but he just doesn't think much about buying anything for personal reasons.

Patrick is very sensitive and very intelligent, to the point that he is able to sense large organizational structures, and he develops innovative technological concepts with very little effort, much faster than his ability to talk, type, write, and/or any other form of conveying the information. His personal life is something that is very sacred to him, and he would rather take the time to plan everything out rather than make a mistake by acting too soon. This adds a complexity that minimizes the possibilities of a personal relationship inferred from conditions that interfere with his professional career, his company, and his personal values.
