These photographs pertain to Patrick R. McElhiney's work as an Earth Team Volunteer with the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Patrick helped to preserve wildlife habitat in California's San Joaquin Valley around Modesto, CA. Work included helping his father take pictures and survey lands, monitoring wildlife habitat, working on obtaining grant funding, and even planting trees and plants from the USDA Plant Materials Center.
