These are some of the rare photographs of Zooey the bunny, which was originally Crystal's pet, and then when she moved out it became Patrick's mom's pet. The story was that when Crystal and Mom were at the Pet Barn in Turlock, CA, Crystal kept asking if she could get various types of pets, like "Can I get a snake?" and "Can I get a lizard?" and Mom would keep saying "No!". However, when Crystal asked "Can I get a bunny?", Mom said "Yes." And there we have it - Zooey the bunny was adopted. There was a tragedy with Zooey's mother, the breeding rabbit, after Zooey was sold, and unfortunately Zooey was spayed so there were not any more bunnies from that family. She was a very rare and dignified rabbit in her own right.
Below Zooey can be seen eating a strawberry after we had brought home a basket of them from the local farmer. According to Mom, Zooey knew when it was shopping day - she would go through the bags after we shopped, smelling what was in them. One day she tried to eat a banana through its peel!
