Music - String Bass and Bass Guitar, 1993-1998

    Patrick was distinguished for playing the upright bass early on. He performed in dozens of honor orchestras throughout the State of California, and even joined the orchestra at the California State University Stanislaus in eighth grade. He also played with the Turlock Junior High School Band, which performed in Disney Land theme park in Los Angeles. In his freshman year of high school, he toured Canada with the Modesto Youth Symphony Orchestra and had a class with Gary Karr, world-renowned soloist (Williams, 1998).
    From 1993 to 1996, Patrick McElhiney played String Bass in the Brown Elementary School Orchestra under the direction of Debbie Dix.
    From 1996 to 1998, Patrick R. McElhiney played String Bass and Bass Guitar while he attended Turlock Junior High School. He played String Bass in the Orchestra under the direction of Debbie Dix, and played String Bass and Bass Guitar in the Jazz Band under the direction of Steven Mathews. Patrick also played String Bass in the Symphonic Band from 1997 to 1998, also under the direction of Steven Mathews.
    From 1998 to 1999, Patrick played String Bass in the Turlock High School Honor Orchestra.
