My mother recently discovered that during one of our very seldom visits to the Nubble Light House in York, Maine, the Google Street View camera, usually mounted on a truck or inside a van, drove by at the precise time of us visiting the Nubble and the 360-degree view was posted to Google Maps.
I placed one of the images in a 12” x 18” frame over the coat rack in our home.
The news of this showed amazement from Patrick’s Facebook followers.
Patrick recently discussed what it would be like to live in a lighthouse like the Nubble, and his mom said that he wouldn’t be able to get the Internet there. I said that it wasn’t technically impossible, especially with electrical lines already going in there, in addition to point-to-point wireless. Mom said that I should keep an eye out for one, and go and take photos inside one when it’s on the market. It would definitely help with isolation – I’d need regular shipments of textbooks to work on my various projects.
