This invention concept pertains to mining and construction equipment that is autonomous, or automated, so it can operate based on instructions to programmable logic controllers that originate from artificial intelligence, that survey and plans out the work that needs to be done, and then does the work, automatically, including negotiating the work with the surroundings, such as putting together buildings and not running into them with crane equipment, or mining coal automatically while knowing when equipment needs to be maintenance, automatically, as well. The first step to accomplishing the creation of this technology would be simplifying and semi-automatically automating certain repetitive tasks that construction or mining equipment does, such as lifting loads or scooping up coal. Then, these tasks will become buttons in the controls in the cab of the construction or mining equipment, for an operator to use to simplify the uses of the controls. Then, artificial intelligence will be installed in the cabs to monitor the machinery of the construction or mining equipment, and gather data about common routines, and this data will be used to automate the routines, by developing computer programs that work with sensor grids, such as at construction sites and mining locations. Artificial intelligence will be developed that creates routines and automated activities, such as something as simple as mining tasks or construction tasks. Eventually, all construction and mining equipment will likely be automated, or will be able to accept simple commands, such as from voice commands, such as construction worker saying to a crane, “Please lift that rafter and place it on that house”, or a mining worker saying “Scoop out that entire coal pile, and place it in the loader every time it is back from the drop-off.” These types of commands could also work from IDEAINT commands from within the cab of the equipment, such as the employee thinking diligently about lifting and placing the rafter, in the exact way that it is, coupled with artificial intelligence that studied the blueprints, to place the rafter exactly in the way it should, or the optimal way it should, or as a coal worker, the employee thinking about scooping out a coal pit exactly as they would with manual operated equipment, however the equipment works with its sensors to work with the dump truck and the crane, to automate the entire process, with employees just thinking about what should be done, more as managers of the operations, rather that operators of machinery. The machinery would operate its self, automatically, or autonomously, and the computer equipment would be maintained and programmed by intelligent employees that are familiar with mining or construction, so computer programmers will be trained to be computer programmers, and then they’ll be trained to be specialists in a second field, such as mining or construction.
