This technology is used for the precision movement of a crane arm, with a movement as little as one billionth of an inch. This works through multiple layers of electro-magnetic gears that nudge a micro-magnetic field slightly in one direction with as much control as hundreds of rotations of one type of electromagnetic gear in one direction to move the arm one billionth of an inch. This can be controlled through the distance of the electro-magnetic gears from each other, and the strength of the electromagnetic force of the electromagnets, and the pulse frequency within the electromagnetic gears.
