This invention pertains to a technology that would shield law enforcement and military people from hearing and seeing flash bang grenades and other loud or otherwise blinding incidents. This technology could be on a special type of shield that goes over the face and eyes and ears, or it could be a combination of ear muffs and eye wear. It would act to block extreme changes in light and sound intensity. This type of technology exists already on home speaker systems. It would essentially work to protect people from light and sound that is outside the normal range of operation, for people in dangerous work environments. It could also be used in manufacturing, as well as a type of shield that blocks out a welder’s arc, but allows other levels of light through the shield. It could also protect from the light and sound from an IED, such as protecting them from the shockwave that would damage their ears and eyes.
